Sacred Space

Monday crept up on me today and suddenly I remembered its time for another blog post! This time I'm writing from my phone as my laptop is at the bungalow and I'm in a new flat. Surprise I'm moving again! The bungalow belongs to my brother, he's getting into property development, whereas I am a mere peasant, paying rent to a never ending series of landlords. My boyfriend and I have been looking for a little flat to rent between us, and we have found a snug flat situated about 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the highstreet. Perfect! Our only problem right now is mould. Unfortunately the previous inhabitants left a lot of mildew in the flat due to poor ventilation. We've got a dehumidifier in here now and are waiting for the estate agents to sort out the black stains on the ceilings and walls. Gross. The stink of mould sinks into my clothes and hair. I don't want to move any of my stuff in until the problem's sorted. The estate agents say th...

Top Five Tips To Beat The Winter Blues

We can all get a bit down in the winter, what with the miserable weather and seemingly permanent darkness. If you're struggling to get your daily dose of sunshine, exercise, fresh fruits and veg, then your festive spirit could be in danger of dwindling. The run up to Christmas can get hectic, so it's important that you don't forget to take time out for yourself. Feeling blue? Red in the face? Green in the gills? My great big royal blue infinity scarf has a serenity about it which soothes my soul. My burgundy corduroy trousers warm me up both in body and spirit. Don't drown yourself in black and grey this winter. Have some fun with colour! Start you...

Secrets of a Modern Witch

Shortly after the summer solstice, I took a walk to the cliff tops, just ten minutes from where I live. I have been thinking about doing this for a long time, debating with myself whether or not it was a good idea. I decided to put a face to the name and say hello to you all. I have just uploaded this video and my palms are sweating with anxiety. I am quite a shy person. I speak in a hushed voice around people I don't know and struggle to meet them in the eye when I'm not feeling confident. It took me a long time to build up the ability to stand in front of a group of people and speak to them. When I was in university and had to give a presentation to the class, I would feel sick and quake in my boots! But when I started to make videos, I felt a lot more at ease. I gradually became less shy about public speaking, and would fearlessly offer my opinion infront of the class in university. I'm still very awkward around people and it takes me a long time to get to know someo...
